Shapes, lines, forms values. The cropping in this one is especially interesting-- a little off the top, the right and the bottom. and yet those curves persist in my mind--the Gestalt, I think it is. A little color on the left--blue water, I think, from a bridge or dock. The emphasis though, is that metal handrail and finial against the vertical lines of the dock. The values are lovely with the lighter dog, the darker handrail and the light on the finial and just above it. Very strong!
