Look at the colors beginning to change. Ex...Ahhhhh! Look at the colors beginning to change. Excellent, a favorite of mine--yes! I have many favorites. (I'm afraid we'll be on our trip and miss the changing of the aspen in the high country.) Certainly the elusive river is the focal point with the yellow at the end of it and up a bit. The river's zigzagging diagonals lead us right from the foreground to the changing color. The more I look, the more I think the river is the focal point and less the color, but my eye goes back and forth so it's all there together. The verticals of the trees are quite grand, even the young one at the bend in the river. No sky to be seen but only the rising mountains. There's a lot of space in this one--from the flat river in the foreground to the rising mountain face as far as we can see, layer upon layer rising up.
